Watch: Shaquille O’Neal hilariously bets $10,000 if Charles Barkley can spell ‘spectacular’, Kenny Smith loses it

When it comes to national NBA coverage, Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley are two of the best presenters. Every time the two are put in front of a camera, you never know what is going to happen.

Over the years, TNT's "Inside the NBA" has become a must-watch program for fans. Along with getting in-depth analysis from a trio of former players, the group's banter is entertaining for anyone.

During halftime of the Golden State Warrior's matchup with the Phoenix Suns, Shaq decided to have some fun at Barkley's expense. He bet the Hall of Fame big man $10,000 that he couldn't spell the word 'spectacular'.

Ernie Johnson tried to quickly change the subject, but Shaq didn't let him. After much laughter from the group, Barkley managed to prove him wrong and spelled the word correctly.

"I haven't had much to brag on this year... that education pulled me through America."

As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. After a long and successful run on TNT, it appears we might be seeing the final days of 'Inside the NBA.'

However, right before the season began, the network announced that Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson all agreed to long-term extensions. The group will now be sticking together for the foreseeable future.

Barkley regularly spoke about retirement and even explored different broadcasting ventures this summer. Luckily for the fans, the Phoenix Suns legend ultimately decided to remain with TNT.

It goes without saying why the network made the right move to over all four members of the cast a new deal. The chemistry they have together is amazing, and they never fail to entertain the masses.

Instances like this are a prime example of why this crew can't be split up. Shaq and 'Sir Charles' have a tremendous working relationship, which allows moments like this spelling contest to organically happen. If TNT let them walk, they'd never find replacements that live up to these standards.

There isn't another program in sports that gives the best of both worlds like Inside the NBA does. While the two Hall of Fame big men aren't cracking jokes with one another, they are laying their wisdom on the next generation. Most importantly, their opinions are respected around the league.

Knowing these two, it probably won't be long before the next ridiculous challenge is thrown out on national television.
