Watch: Steph Curry's mom Sonya Curry gets roped into Sydel Curry's latest 'Give me my money' hijinks

In a recent video where Sydel, Seth and Steph Curry were in line with their respective partners, Damion Lee, Callie Rivers, and Ayesha Curry, they picked on their mom Sonya while doing the "Give me my money" trend.

The Curry family's version of the trend started with Sydel saying the phrase out loud while the rest of the family cheered. It continued with Seth, followed by Callie, Ayesha, Steph and Damion. Everybody got the same reaction until it was Sonya's turn. When she said the phrase, they all stayed quiet.

After seeing that nobody was reacting, Sonya just laughed and ran away from the rest of the family. She then told them that she knew it was a setup.

"lol we love you mama πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚," Sydel captioned the post.

These types of videos have taken over the internet in the past couple of weeks. The goal of the trend appears to be to make people feel awkward, but Sonya didn't fall for it.

Steph Curry's mom Sonya has been actively hyping up Team USA

All jokes and trends aside, the Curry family continues to cheer for Steph and Team USA as the superstar point guard tries to win his first gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

When Steph became the first player to make it to camp last month, Sonya took to Instagram to send a message to her son and the rest of the team, wishing them all the best in the Olympic tournament.

"Praying for strength, focus, skill, and protection! I'm so proud of you! Stay focused on the goal... GOLD! I love you," she commented under a post by ESPN.

Once Steph and LeBron James were getting ready for the Olympics, Sonya penned another message for the two Akron-born superstars, pointing out another similarity that they share.

"Volleyball dads!! I love it," Sonya commented on a Golden State Warriors post featuring her son and LeBron.
