Scoot Henderson broke down his matchup against Victor Wembanyama
NBA fans had a chance to see Victor Wembanyama take on Scoot Henderson, who's also a top prospect in this year's draft. The Metropolitans 92 traveled to Nevada where they played two exhibition games against Henderson and the G Leauge Ignite.
Each team was able to get a win and the stars showcased what they had. Henderson took on the challenge of playing against his competition and broke down what happened on the court.
In one play, Scoot was switched on to Wemby in the perimeter. The 6-foot-2 guard took his chance and did a step-back three-pointer over the French center.
"I think it was going through his mind too, like, 'Dang, what I'm finna do? It's just me and you out here and the ball.'"
In one instance, he drove to the basket and Wemby came to help on the defensive end. It didn't end well for the Metropolitans 92 as the 7-foot-3 center and his teammate tried to contest a pump fake from Henderson.
"He was blocking everybody's shot, he's pretty long, so I knew he was gonna go for that one. He's kinda easy to read when he's down there, as in length and when he goes for it."
Both players have excelled even before they played a game in the NBA. Fans will be lucky to watch the two stars take over the league.
