What are Dillon Brooks' contract details with Memphis Grizzlies? Salary, duration, and moreĀ

Dillon Brooks' contract is set to expire at the end of the season. The veteran forward is currently in the final year of a three-year, $35 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Throughout his contract, Brooks has made about the same amount salary-wise. In the first season, he netted $11.4 million, while he earned $11.2 million in the second year.

This is the second contract Brooks has signed with the Memphis Grizzlies in his career. The first being a three-year, $3.8 million deal he inked back in 2017.

With Dillon Brooks' contract coming to an end this season, he will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent. Meaning, he'll be free to sign wherever he chooses.

While his production has taken a slight dip this season, he is still a key piece for the Grizzlies on both ends of the floor. In 73 games this season, he averaged 14.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 32.6% from the 3-point line.

What will Dillon Brooks' contract look like this summer?

With free agency still a few months away, there is no telling what Dillon Brooks' contract will look like when he gets a new deal. However, with his set of skills, he is sure to walk away with a decent pay day.

While teams around the league are monitoring him, the Memphis Grizzlies see him as a long-term piece. Their GM, Zach Kleiman, backed that up this year when asked why Brooks wasn't moved at the deadline.

"Dillon Brooks is not someone who was shopped or anything to that effect at the deadline. He's someone who we view as a critical component of this group and very much hope and could see him playing a big role for us for years to come."

As for his next contract, Brooks should expect to make around the same as he is now. He is a two-way player that brings a lot to the defensive end, but there are still flaws to his game. That being said, teams will likely be willing to pay around $13-$15 million a year for his services.

If Brooks wants to stay in Memphis, that is probably the price range he'll have to settle for. Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. are already on big deals, and the team has to prepare to give Desmond Bane a big extension. That being said, he might be able to make a little more from a rebuilding team that values his experience and leadership.
