What are Marcus Morris Sr.'s contract details for 2022-23 NBA season?

Marcus Morris Sr. is playing in his third season with the LA Clippers after signing a four-year deal worth $64 million back in 2020. This season, the Clippers forward is expecting to make $16.37 million. Overall, the 33-year-old Philly native will make an average of $16 million annually until the 2023-24 season. He will then become an unrestricted free agent come 2024.

Depending on whether or not the Clippers will still require Marcus Morris Sr.'s services, he could opt for an extension before his contract expires. Based on how he's been performing in LA, there's a chance that fans could see him stay. There's a possibility, though, that Morris Sr.'s next contract value could decrease.

Marcus Morris Sr., one-half of the Morris Twins, is now playing in his 12th NBA season. He is currently signed with the LA Clippers and has had a fruitful career with the squad. Before signing a four-year deal with the Clippers, Morris Sr. played for the New York Knicks in 2019 and then got traded to LA mid-season. The organization was obviously content and ended up offering him a contract.

Now playing in his third year with the Clippers, Marcus Morris Sr. has been a valuable asset to the team. He's an intense big man who loves to get down and dirty to fight for the ball. Morris Sr. is the type of player who often finds himself getting into trouble on the court, mostly because he stands up for his teammates.

Morris Sr.'s best season with the Clippers was in the 2021-22 season, where he averaged 15.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Standing at 6-foot-9, Marcus is more of a catch-and-shoot player than a traditional forward. Nevertheless, he's helped Paul George and Kawhi Leonard make deep playoff runs.

Morris Sr. is averaging 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game this season. More or less, his shooting percentages are pretty much the same compared to last season. Marcus is currently shooting 43.7% from the field and 37.9% beyond the three-point line. His accuracy is on par with many All-Stars in the NBA, so it's no wonder he's signed to a contract worth $64 million.
