Michael Jordan celebrated his 60th birthday on Friday by donating $10 million to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Jordan has been granting wishes for them since 1989 and has been an ambassador since 2008.
The $10 million gift is the largest individual donation in the history of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It will be used as an endownment for future wishes of children with critical illnesses. Jordan said:
"For the past 34 years, it's been an honor to partner with Make-A-Wish and help bring a smile and happiness to so many kids," Jordan said in an official statement. "Witnessing their strength and resilience during such a tough time in their lives has truly been an inspiration.
