“What a nice great leader he is”- NBA fans troll Julius Randle who is mad at no-call and then starts to pick a fight with his own teammate

Julius Randle has developed a reputation for arguing with the referees, and his mannerisms on the court have gotten out of control lately. He was ejected in a home game against the Kings in December after arguing a no-call in the third quarter. He already has 10 technicals this season, with two in the last two games.

Some may argue Jalen Brunson, but most would concede that Randle is the New York Knicks' best player. His leadership skills and chemistry with his teammates have been called into question many times.

In the loss against the Orlando Magic on Thursday, Randle grabbed a rebound with less than 3 seconds remaining in the first half. He then collided with Magic's Franz Wagner and fell to the floor, expecting a whistle. However, he didn't receive a call and immediately started barking at the referees. Even after the clock expired, Julius Randle’s constant bickering and complaining resulted in him receiving another technical from Leon Wood.

His teammate Immanuel Quickley tried to hold him away from the officials, but he squared up against and barked at Quickley, who was only trying to help him in the first place.

Julius Randle's idiosyncrasies can only be tolerated for so long. We have seen only a handful of occasions where teammates publicly feud. Even if we do see it, it's rare to see it again after the beef is squashed. But Randle's behavior is clearly a pattern of behavior. He has shouted at, pushed, and argued with his teammates, often not even helping them off the floor.

Randle looks at Obi on the floor, then seems to take a step toward him, only to turn his back on Toppin.

Please notice how Barrett and Kemba Walker, who was yanked from the starting lineup and benched for ten straight games earlier this season, rush to help up Toppin to his feet https://t.co/MQO0Lm9hHt

Even Knicks play-by-play commentator Mike Breen was certain a technical foul would be called if Randle didn't back off, and that is exactly what happened.

Julius Randle. 😳

@TheHoopCentral What a nice great leader he is
Randle really just got in Quickley’s face for trying to stop him from getting a tech. This guy is out of control https://t.co/yLzpDT8lxx
Julius Randle has to be the worst teammate in the league lmao
Julius Randle has lost his mind! https://t.co/rnyBGaPMBD
Would be great if Randle could channel that same anger toward a teammate touching him and use it against, just spitballing here, the opponent.
Randle can’t react that way to a teammate that is only looking to prevent him from being tossed and man IQ didn’t give an inch.
If you don’t trade Randle while his trade value is at an all time high, then I have to question this front office. I know a cancer when I see it. He is mentally unstable to take this team on a deep run. He’s doing this 10 games over .500… can you imagine him in a PLAYOFF game?!
LMAO Quickley even slaps Randle's ass like "bro????????????"

Randle gets very emotional when the refs are fucking us, but that's no reason to take it out on your teammates. Take anger management lessons or something cuz this shit is a nasty look for a career loser twitter.com/tcsmelo2/statu…
Randle giving me PTSD from 2021 man, also no need to get in Quick face like that https://t.co/nV1VrhA72y
I feel like every other video I see of Randle he’s arguing 😭 twitter.com/thehoopcentral…
@TheHoopCentral he way too much of a hothead still man

The Knicks have acknowledged Julius Randle's behavior and have spoken about getting it under control. Head coach Tom Thibodeau mentioned calming him down as a team. After Randle's ejection against the Kings earlier this year, Thibodeau said:

"We have to do a better job of helping him walk away — as a team, staff, all of us…It’s an emotional game. When he got the first one we have to do a better job and get him to walk away."

So fans are angry at Randle for lashing out at Quickley and want him to fix his behavior.

Thibs should bench Randle the second half. Send a message coach.
Julius Randle after a technical foul in December:

“I can’t put my teammates in that situation and that was selfish of me. I got to be better… Sometimes my emotions get the best of me. But that’s just kind of what comes with it.”

He has 2 technical fouls in the last 4… twitter.com/i/web/status/1… https://t.co/DSBGBtqWD3
@TheHoopCentral Knicks to Randle about comlainig to refs https://t.co/5SSxSzRbnG
Julius Randle being unhinged needs to be addressed

Randle finished with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks in the loss while shooting 7-20 from the field and 2-9 from three-point range. The Knicks have lost six of their last nine games, including the last three in a row.
