What are Pascal Siakam’s contract details with Toronto Raptors in the 2022-23 NBA season: All you need to know
Pascal Siakam is in his seventh season in the league, all with the Toronto Raptors, making him a core member of the organization. The veteran big man is one of the most sought-after stars this season and could command important assets if the Raptors choose to make him available for trade.
In 2019, Siakam signed a maximum contract extension with Toronto worth $130 million for four years. Right now, he's in the third year of his contract, earning $35 million this season. After the 2023-24 season, the one-time All-Star will be an unrestricted free agent, as the Raptors didn't extend his contract till the start of the season.
The Cameroonian star is eligible for a three-year $125 million extension, which he didn't get in the offseason. He's expected to be moved on by the Raptors, either during the upcoming trade deadline or next season, where he'll be on an expiring contract.
Recent reports say that the Raptors have been considering trading him. One potential trade destination for him would be the Brooklyn Nets. Toronto is reportedly interested in trading for defensive stalwart Nic Claxton. Ben Simmons and some future first-round picks have been part of the talks for Siakam too.

Pascal Siakam is one of the biggest All-Star snubs this season
When the All-Star reserves were announced earlier this month, many were disappointed to see that Pascal Siakam didn't make the All-Star team. Looking at his stats, he has a good argument on why he should have been considered an All-Star this season. He's averaging 24.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists for the Raptors this season.
However, one reason why he wasn't included in the All-Star team could be Toronto's place in the East. They have a 25-29 record, which puts them in tenth place in the Eastern Conference. That could've been a crucial part of why the coaches didn't consider Siakam an All-Star player this season.
He could still be included to participate in Utah, though. It has been reported that Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets will miss the festivities on February 19.
Apart from that, there's also a player who could be considered to replace Durant, and it's not Siakam. The player would be James Harden, who's been stellar for the Philadelphia 76ers this season.
Harden is averaging 21.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 10.9 assists while shooting 44.7% from the field and 38.8% from downtown.
