The Pacers exercised their team options for Haliburton's third and fourth-year salaries. The 22-year-old guard is also eligible to sign a rookie max extension in the summer. He's a core player for the Pacers, so it's expected that they will eventually agree on a deal.
Tyrese Haliburton has simply been amazing for the upstart Indiana Pacers. Haliburton is averaging 19.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 10.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He's currently fourth in assists and third in steals per game in the NBA this season.
