What is Victor Wembanyama's NBA2K25 rating? Closer look at sophomore leap

Entering the NBA as the No. 1 pick and one of the most hyped-up prospects of all time last season, Victor Wembanyama showed why he received so much hype coming out of France.

In Year One, Victor Wembanyama put the league on notice, averaging 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 3.6 blocks and 1.2 steals per game, shooting 46.5%, including 32.5% from behind the arc.

Wembanyama was named the 2023-24 Rookie of the Year, an All-Defensive first-team and All-Rookie first-team selection and finished second in the Defensive Player of the Year race, leading the NBA in blocks.

Victor Wembanyama's historic rookie season was reflected in his NBA2K25 rating, earning a 91 overall, a seven-point increase from the release of the NBA2K24 video game.

Per 2kratings.com, Wembanyama ranks as the fourth-best big man in NBA2K25.

A 91 overall would rank Victor Wembanyama as the seventh-highest player overall in NBA2K24. The newest version of NBA2K is set to release on Sept. 6.

Victor Wembanyama followed up rookie season with stellar Olympic run

Following his rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs, Victor Wembanyama returned to France for the 2024 Paris Olympics as a member of the France men's basketball team.

In six games at the Olympics, Wembanyama averaged 15.8 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 3.3 apg, 2.0 spg and 1.7 bpg. He also shot a solid 42.2%.

Victor Wembanyama and France secured a 4-1 record entering a gold medal game versus the United States men's team led by LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant on Sunday.

The rookie sensation saved his best play for the biggest moment, posting 26 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal, shooting 58%, incuding 38% from behind the arc.

Although France suffered a 98-87 loss to Team USA , Victor Wembanyama showed out in his first Olympics and helped France to a silver medal.

Wembanyama will enter his second NBA season with a Spurs team that upgraded significantly over the offseason, adding Chris Paul and highly touted rookie Stephon Castle. San Antonio will have the chance to return to the playoffs after five seasons.
