Russell Westbrook was initially traded to Utah Jazz before he and the team agreed on a buyout of his contract. Westbrook went on to sign with LA Clippers and is no longer leaving California.

Instead, Russ will be moving his stuff to the other locker room, headed for the Playoffs.

LA fans now want to see Westbrook reign over his former LA Lakers team. Back when Russ was still suiting up for the Purple and Gold, coach Darvin Ham demoted him from starter to sixth man. On paper, the situation looked bad, however, he was able to embrace and perform his new role efficiently.

Westbrook then became the point guard the Lakers needed. Unfortunately, despite his efforts to help the team win, the organization decided to trade him anyway. His new team has promised him a starting role in the rotation. This might end up working out for Westbrook since he'll be playing alongside a familiar face in Paul George.

PG and Russ were teammates back in OKC and their chemistry was undeniably good. Their egos didn't clash and the two stars blended well. Now reunited at the Clippers with a third star in Kawhi Leonard, they're bound to be an unstoppable force.
