Washington Wizards star Jordan Poole is gearing up to debut his player edition (PE) sneakers, the Nike GT Cut 3, later this year. This launch has created a buzz among sneakerheads and basketball enthusiasts as it signifies a major milestone for the NBA champion.

The sneakers boast a unique colorway described as Pale Ivory/Metallic Gold-Sail-Alabaster-Lightning Soft Yellow, blending vibrant and neutral tones that are sure to stand out both on and off the court.

The Jordan Poole x Nike GT Cut 3 PE is set for release on Nov. 11, 2024, with a retail price of $190.

The GT Cut 3 is tailored for players like Poole who depend on agility and lateral speed. The shoe features advanced technology designed to boost comfort, support and traction.

Visually, the Nike GT Cut 3 PE sports a clean white upper accented by yellow and gold details. The gold Nike Swoosh adds a touch of luxury, and the overall white, yellow, and gold palette gives the shoe a shimmering effect.

The insoles are customized with Poole’s name and signature.

Although specific details about the cushioning and materials in the GT Cut 3 haven’t been fully revealed, Nike’s basketball shoes are known for their responsive cushioning systems and lightweight materials that promote quick movements and explosive jumps.

Looking at Jordan Poole’s numbers

Jordan Poole has made a significant shift from being a backup on the star-studded Golden State Warriors to becoming the focal point of the offense for the Washington Wizards.

Last season, Poole averaged 17.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game, a decline from his final season with the Warriors, where he posted 20.4 ppg, 4.5 apg and 2.7 rpg.

His efficiency also saw a downturn, with his field goal percentage dropping to 41.3%, the lowest since his rookie year. His 32.6% shooting from beyond the arc and 49.2% shooting from inside the arc were also his lowest since his first season in the league.

Heading into the next season under coach Brian Keefe, who is entering his first full season, Poole is expected to continue in his prominent role.

He will be playing alongside No. 2 overall draft pick Alex Sarr, who had an underwhelming Summer League but is considered a skilled and versatile wing player.

In an interview with The US Sun, Jordan Poole shared his enthusiasm for teaming up with Sarr:

"I'm really excited to start something in DC," Poole said.
"[Alex is] really talented, a lot of potential... He's joining our team at the perfect time. We're excited to see him play his game, and for all of us to grow and learn together... He's athletic, lengthy, can run, and is a really good shot blocker," he added.

The Wizards have also added Saddiq Bey, Malcolm Brogdon, Jonas Valanciunas, and rookies Sarr, Bub Carrington and Kyshawn George to their roster.
