It has been a non-stop basketball spectacle over the last 10 days in Nevada, with all 30 NBA teams playing five games. The Grizzlies and Heat are the last two undefeated teams remaining, and both franchises look to close out the tournament with a statement win in the final.
Where to watch 2024 Las Vegas Summer League Championship?
The Las Vegas Summer League championship will take place at Thomas & Mack Center on Monday, July 22. The game is set to tipoff at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT).
The championship game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN and will also be shown on TSN and Sportsnet for Canadian viewers. Fans can also stream Summer League games on ESPN+, Sling or Fubo.
Road to the Summer League finals
Led by Scottie Pippen Jr. and rookie forward Jaylen Wells, the Grizzlies survived a thrilling encounter in the semifinals against the Los Angeles Clippers. Memphis led 73-67 going into the fourth quarter, but a late rally from the Clippers nearly forced the game into overtime. Coach Jason March would have been relieved to see his team progress and will now look ahead to Monday's matchup versus the Heat.
In the other semifinal, guards Pelle Larsson and Josh Christopher combined for 44 points to guide the Heat to a slender 102-99 victory over the Golden State Warriors at Thomas & Mack Center. Former Indiana Hoosiers star Kel'el Ware, who was the 15th overall pick in the NBA draft, also had a big night, chipping in with 18 points and five rebounds.
It has not been an easy path to the finals for the Grizzlies, who have defeated the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, New Orleans Pelicans and Clippers on the way to the finals. Their biggest win of the summer came in a 108-88 demolition of the Mavs.
The Heat have run off five consecutive victories en route to the finals, with wins over the Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors and Warriors. Their 109-73 victory over the Raptors was their statement win of the Summer League.
