Who is Alijah Arenas? Meet 3x NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas' son playing in high school 

Alijah Arenas is a five-star shooting guard from Chatsworth (California) High School. While his father, Gilbert Arenas, was a three-time NBA All-Star with the Washington Wizards known for his scintillating scoring talent, the son's basketball path is tracking higher.

Alijah is ranked fourth in the 2026 class by ESPN, while Gilbert was ranked 99th in the Class of 1999.

Born into a basketball background, his upbringing has been under a father who dominated NBA games. Often, Gilbert Arenas refers to how his NBA experience rubs off in the advice and training he offers to Alijah.

His family life is not all about basketball. His mother, Laura Govan, doubles as a reality TV personality, featuring in "Basketball Wives: LA." His siblings are Izela, Aloni and Hamiley. The family often posts photos on social media.
