Who is Ronnie 2K and why is he popular in NBA circles?
It would be an understatement to say that superstar Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors has beef with Ronnie 2K. The 5-time All-Star was furious when he saw his 3-point rating on NBA 2K23 was 88 and hasn't held back in expressing his outrage.
Ronnie Singh, also known as Ronnie 2K, is one of the most polarizing figures in the sports and gaming industry. He is currently the Digital Marketing Director for 2K Games. Somehow, he always manages to find himself in a position where fans and players alike would put the blame on him.

Klay Thompson calls Ronnie 2K a 'Clown'
Klay Thompson learned about Ronnie 2K's interview with ESPN on Monday. Due to his displeasure, Thompson made the decision to criticize the network for their choice to air 2K's poster boy.
“Y’all really interviewed this clown? I thought NBA on ESPN meant coverage of the best athletes in the world? Not interviewing a promoter ….Do better ESPN,” Thompson commented on social media.
Klay Thompson didn't care what Ronnie had to say in an interview with ESPN. To him, all he cares about is his 3-point rating in NBA 2K23. It appears the Warriors superstar won't stop hating on this man until they get Klay's rating fixed or updated. However, Ronnie did uncover some things in that interview regarding the players' NBA 2K ratings.
According to Clutch Points, ESPN welcomed Ronnie 2K to talk about NBA 2K23. Malika Andrews, the host, questioned Ronnie about the most absurd thing a player has done to raise their player rating. In his response, he acknowledged that some players had attempted to bribe him in order to raise their NBA 2K rating.

Then during the pre-launch of NBA 2K20, Ronnie announced false information that could've really helped players save a lot of money. The player base was furious and started throwing shade at Ronnie.
Klay Thompson might be mad about his 2K rating, but we can assume that he's also frustrated as a 2K player as well.
