Who won bronze medal in men's basketball at Paris Olympics 2024?
Serbia defeated Germany in the bronze medal game at the 2024 Paris Olympics, 93-83. Serbia's hopes for a gold medal were dashed by the United States in the semi-finals.
They dominated the German side right from the start, establishing a nine-point lead in the first quarter and although Germany put up a tough fight in the remaining three quarters, they were unable to close the lead.
The 2023 FIBA World Cup champions fell short against reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, who led the Serbian unit with a triple-double. Jokic scored 19 points, collected 12 rebounds and provided 11 assists.
Bogdan Bogdanovic supported the MVP fairly well from the edges of the hardcourt, going 3-for-4 from downtown. He netted 16 points, two rebounds and three assists, helping his team secure the bronze medal.
As for the Germans, Franz Wagner led a herculean effort to keep his team in the game. The Orlando Magic player scored 18 points, collected nine rebounds and dished out four assists. Meanwhile, 2023 FIBA World Cup MVP Dennis Schroder scored 13 points, collected four rebounds and dished out six assists in his team's disappointing loss.
