Why is Milwaukee Bucks vs. New Orleans Pelicans game postponed? Reasons explored

The league postponed the game between the Pelicans (12-32), 14th in the Western Conference, and the fourth-ranked in the East (24-17) due to a snowstorm in New Orleans.

On Wednesday, several reports indicated the league made the decision after the city saw the first snow in 15 years. Up to 10 inches fell in certain parts of NOLA.

The association has postponed several games this season, with Hurrican Milton affecting the development of games in Orlando and then the Los Angeles wildfires prompting the suspension of the LA Lakers games against the San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Hornets.

Snow has been a protagonist of this season too, making road travel complicated for New Orleans people, who are accustomed to subtropical weather. After Texas, sectors of the Gulf Coast and Florida, New Orleans joined the list of cities watching snow to start the year, prompting the suspension of the first Milwaukee Bucks vs. New Orleans Pelicans matchup of the season.

When will the Milwaukee Bucks vs. New Orleans Pelicans game be played?

The NBA didn't share details of when the Milwaukee Bucks vs. New Orleans Pelicans game will be played, as the new date will be announced at a later time.

The Pelicans are expected to return to action on Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies as visitors. They won't be back home until next Wednesday, Jan. 29 following games against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday and the Toronto Raptors on Monday.

As for the Bucks, they will host the Miami Heat at Fiserv Forum tomorrow night before going to Los Angeles to clash with the LA Clippers. They'll close out the week against the Utah Jazz, as visitors again, on Monday.

Milwaukee is in the middle of a four-game winning streak, having lost only one game in their last five. They are still 3.0 games away from the New York Knicks, the No. 3 seed in the East, but are showing that they can compete against anybody in the league.

The Pels have been just awful this campaign, dealing with injuries to Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson and others while being mentioned in trade rumors involving their best players.
