Why is Steph Curry not playing at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game?

The 2023 NBA All-Star Game will take place in Salt Lake City tonight and stars from all around the league have gathered for one of the biggest games of the season. However, there will be one big name missing from the action this season -- Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry.

Curry suffered a leg injury two weeks ago against the Dallas Mavericks and has not played a game since. Many were expecting him to show up at the All-Star Game, but that's not going to happen. According to the Warriors, Curry will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.

Curry's averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists this season. He's led the Warriors to a 29-29 record in the Western Conference.

The All-Star Game is one of the most anticipated events in the NBA calendar every season. Steph Curry is usually a sure-shot starter, but he isn't playing in tonight's event due to injury. Joining Curry on the sidelines are Kevin Durant and Zion Williamson.

The NBA recently announced that Anthony Edwards, De'Aaron Fox, and Pascal Siakam would replace the injured trio.

Fox has led the Sacramento Kings to a 32-25 record in the Western Conference, while Edwards has been exceptional for the Minnesota Timberwolves (31-30). Siakam, meanwhile, is averaging 25.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.1 assists for the 28-31 Raptors.
