"You have a gambling problem" - Kevin Durant snaps back at fan blaming him for parlay loss
Kevin Durant, the star of the Phoenix Suns, retaliated on Friday against a fan who accused him of being responsible for their parlay defeat on X (previously Twitter). The Suns had a comeback win against the LA Clippers on Thursday, 125-119, and Durant didn't have to do much offensively.
The Suns were led by All-Star guard Devin Booker, who carried the team with his 40-point performance. In contrast, Durant scored 18 points and didn't play with much vigor during their victory. KD shot 7-for-13 from the field and made 50% of his shots from deep.
During the fourth period, the 6-foot-9 forward didn't attempt a shot from the field, despite being on the floor for almost eight minutes. He immediately teased his followers on social media after the game to congratulate the squad on their victory.
"Great dub suns, and for my parlayers, better luck next time lol," Durant posted.
A fan shared the post from Durant and called him out for not taking sports betting seriously. The Suns star responded with this:
"No, YOU think it’s a game gambling with your life like this every night. Be more responsible."
A different fan joined in on the exchange. The 14-time All-Star was also criticized by the fan, who termed his play against the Clippers "trash." The NBA star didn't let it slide and had to respond one final time.
"Stop blaming me for losing money because you have a gambling problem," Durant replied.
Durant is known for not holding back when answering questions, even when speaking to his supporters. The Portland Trail Blazers will be the Suns' next opponent on Saturday, and fans are hopeful for a good game from KD.

Kevin Durant and Devin Booker can read each other well on the court
Devin Booker was the star of Thursday's game, demonstrating his domination in scoring to help the Suns win. Kevin Durant, meanwhile, steered clear of his All-Star teammate, allowing the former Kentucky star to lead the team to victory.
Durant talked about the chemistry that he's developed with Booker. According to him, this has allowed their combined effort to work well with the Suns.
"I think we’re at that point," Durant said, "where I kind of know what he’s thinking and vice versa."
This chemistry has allowed the veteran star to put Booker in a situation where he can lead by example. The shooting guard went on to have a 25-point second half, allowing the team to get back into the game and seal the win.
