"You need to get some Jordan slides" - Jalen Green says Michael Jordan once mocked him for wearing Adidas
Michael Jordan has built an empire with his Jordan Brand since signing with Nike in 1984 before getting drafted by the Chicago Bulls.
Over the years, he has done an exceptional job in making his brand a frontrunner against the competition. Jalen Green found out about it when he encountered the legend when he was younger.
The Houston Rockets guard had the chance to sit down and talk about basketball in the Podcast P with Paul George show. Green was entertaining and shared a story about his interaction with the Bulls legend when he was a kid.
"I went to a Michael Jordan camp in San Diego. I'm walking to practice from the dorm. I got like, high socks on up to my knees, baggy shorts. My swag was terrible. I got Adidas slides on, and he just walked over to me and was like, 'You need to take them weaka** Adidas slides off.'"
"I looked back, I'm like, 'What you mean?' He said, 'You need to get some Jordan slides.' I said, 'Give me some.'"
"So he brought me some Jordan slides. I'm a little a** kid though and he talking about 'Get rid of them weak a** slides.'"
Green's mom witnessed the entire interaction and took the chance to take photos of it.
"I'm minding my business. I'm happy, walking by myself. I was hella excited cause my mom in the stands. I ran up to my mom real quick. I'm like, 'Mom, I just talked to Jordan.' Mind you, she talking a picture the whole time. She was like, 'I know, I seen.'"
Eventually, the young guard was signed by Adidas before he was drafted into the NBA. Green had an incredible sophomore season with the Rockets this year, averaging 22.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

Jordan bought a Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster, which is worth up to $3.5 million. According to reports, the special car is extremely limited, as the Texas-based company that manufactured it only made 30 cars.
According to reports, MJ's purchase of the supercar is one of his most expensive purchases.
