"You my ni**a but go get you some p***y" - Cam'ron mocks Patrick Beverley for his game day routine
Like all players, Patrick Beverley has his own routine when it comes to gamedays. However, one person thinks he should make one drastic change to it.
Since entering the NBA, Patrick Beverley has never been much of a socrer. He's made a living in the league by being a scrappy defender and doing all the little things.
Beverley began the year with the LA Lakers, but was moved in their flurry of trade deadline moves. After getting a buyout from the Orlando Magic, he returned to his hometown and signed with the Chicago Bulls.
In the 20 games he's played with the Bulls, Beverley is averaging 5.9 points and 5.0 rebounds. With these lackluster stats, hip-hop artist Cam'ron suggested he make a change to his routine during game days. Most notably, by having sex.
"You averaging a single-single, you my n**** but go get you some p**** before the game."
Patrick Beverley isn't on the court to score points
Cam'ron might not be a fan of what Patrick Beverley is doing on the court number-wise, but it isn't a cause for concern. At the end of the day, the veteran point guard is doing exactly what he is supposed to be doing.
When the Chicago Bulls signed Beverley, it wasn't to bring in more scoring. It was for his leadership and what he does on the other side of the ball. Chicago already has three capable scorers in Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic. What they need is players around them he can defend and hit open shots when the ball comes their way.
His averages might be minimal, but Beverley has had some big games since coming over to the Bulls. In their most recent game against the Atlanta Hawks he knocked down a trio of long-range shots en route to 11 points.
Beverley's best game by far with the Bulls came back in mid-Marc against the Miami Heat. He finished the night with 17 points that included five makes from beyond the arc.
For someome that has been in the NBA as long as Beverley, he understands what he is out there to do. He could certainly score more points if he wanted to, but it would disrupt the flow of the team. Instead, he picks his spots and saves his energy for harrashing opposing players on the defensive end. That being said, he shouldn't be worried about changing anything in his routine.
