“You’ve been wanting to do that for 25 years” – Scott Foster to LeBron James after collision

LA Lakers superstar LeBron James went over to check up on head official Scott Foster after they collided in the closing moments of the first-half. Considering that Foster ended up with a bloody lip after taking a hit from James, the official had a hilarious comment to make regarding James' intentions.

The Lakers were making a strong run to cut the deficit to close out the first half. With momentum on their side, the Purple and Gold were looking to get a quick basket to answer for a shot made by Denver.

Off an inbounds play, Lakers guard Austin Reaves looked to pass the ball down the floor to James for a quick transition basket.

Unfortunately, the sudden play caught Foster off-guard as he was still on the floor. To make matters worse, he was directly in line with James, who was now breaking away from the defender.

The inevitable collision resulted in a turnover for the Lakers as LeBron James was slowed down. However, Foster dealt with the brunt of the impact as he ended up with a bloodied lip after the play.

Although the situation resulted in a botched possession for the Lakers, LeBron still went over to check up on the head official. Reaves kicked things off by joking about dishing out a technical foul on LeBron. Meanwhile, James was pleading his case and explaining the situation.

Scott Foster hilariously responded to LeBron's comments by saying:

"You've been wanting to do that for 25 years."
“You’ve been wanting to do that for 25 years.”

Goes without saying that the official accepted LeBron's apology in good spirits. Unfortunately, things have not looked as humorous for the LA Lakers. Following a crushing 108-119 loss in Game 3, the Purple and Gold went 3-0 down in the WCF.

LeBron James comes up short while leading the comeback

LeBron James and the LA Lakers face dark days ahead as they come up short at home. Facing insurmountable odds heading into Game 4, it seems more or less likely that the Denver Nuggets will sweep this WCF series.

LeBron James' efforts were valiant down the stretch. He notched 23 points and 12 assists with seven rebounds for the game. Unfortunately, turnovers and poor decision making also resulted in the game slipping away from the team.

The Lakers' flaws were exploited in Game 3, particularly with regards to their execution. With LA, as a whole, taking ill-advised shots, it is no surprise that the team found themselves chasing for the majority of the game.

With Denver's pinpoint execution on full display, it looks difficult for the Lakers to find a solution for the Nuggets.
