“Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, y’all need to do something”- Shannon Sharpe hilariously calls out X account that spotted LeBron James’ unfollowing spree

Veteran sports commentator and NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe is known for speaking his mind. This week, he turned his attention to the tech world, directing his frustration at an X account that reported on LeBron James' recent spree of unfollowing people.

This came on the latest episode of ESPN's "First Take" as the analyst called out to giant billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk after James unfollowed his former teammate and old friend, Kendrick Perkins.

"Social media need to do something about that," Sharpe said. "IG. People don't need to see who I'm following. Why do you need to see who I am following? Why do twitter need to see who I follow and unfollow? Hey Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, y’all need to do something."

Shannon's humorous remarks had co-hosts Stephen A. Smith and Kendrick Perkins, who was also in the panel, in stitches, with the latter playfully echoing those sentiments.

What is LeBron James's frustration with Kendrick Perkins?

LeBron James and longtime friend Kendrick Perkins' social media split has sparked headlines. The former high school teammates reportedly unfollowed each other, hinting at a potential rift.

Things may have escalated when Perkins criticized 'The King' during a recent episode of "NBA Today," for trying to steal the spotlight from the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. Perkins implied LeBron James was looking for attention in expressing frustration about Kyrie Irving's exit, saying:

"Here we go again. LeBron weaseling his way into somebody else's moment. Let somebody else enjoy it. This is not about you. Your team is at home. This is about the Mavs and the Celtics, and yet you're so mad and disappointed that you're not Kyrie Irving's running mate no more. Here we go again."

Kendrick Perkins and the Boston Celtics are currently facing off against Kyrie Irving's Dallas Mavericks. After yesterday's Game 2, Boston is leading the series 2-0.
