Orlando Magic injury report: Latest update on Franz Wagner and Jonathan Isaac's status for Emirates NBA Cup Quarterfinal (Dec. 8)

The Orlando Magic hit the road to face the Milwaukee Bucks at the Finserv Forum in Milwaukee for their Emirates NBA Cup Quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET and will tip off the quarterfinal round of the tournament.

Ahead of the game, the Magic have four players listed on their injury report. Franz Wagner, Gary Harris, and Paolo Banchero are listed out for the game while Jonathan Isaac is listed as questionable.

Wagner tore his right oblique during the Magic's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday and is out indefinitely. He is set to be re-evaluated in four weeks.

Paulo Banchero also suffered a torn right oblique at the end of October and is yet to be re-evaluated. Gary Harris is suffering from a hamstring injury and is without a timetable for return.

Jonathan Isaac is listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury and has missed the Magic's previous matchups. His availability in the contest will be a game-time decision.

The Orlando Magic will likely deploy a starting lineup of Jalen Suggs (PG), Kebtavious Caldwell-Pope (SG), Tristan da Silva (SF), Wendell Carter Jr. (PF) and Goga Bitadze (C) for the upcoming game.

The Orlando Magic finished second in the East Group A during the group stage of the tournament with a 3-1 record, earning a wild card entry for the quarterfinals. They lost their final group-stage matchup 121-106 to the New York Knicks, who placed No. 1 with a 4-0 record.

The Magic are also No. 3 in the Eastern Conference standings with a 17-9 record. They have won eight of their last 10 games after defeating the Phoenix Suns 115-110 on Sunday. Goga Bitadze led their victory charge with a double-double performance of 21 points, 16 rebounds and four assists.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks topped East Group B with a 4-0 record to earn their spot in the NBA Cup quarterfinals. They are No. 6 in the Eastern Conference standings with a 12-11 record in the season and have won eight of their last 10 games.

The Bucks are coming off a 118-113 road victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led their victory effort with his double-double performance of 34 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, one steal and three blocks.

The upcoming matchup will be the first time the two teams face each other in the 2024-25 season.
