Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors Prediction and Preview for 2024 NBA Summer League | July 13, 2024

The Summer League has officially shifted to Las Vegas with the Phoenix Suns set to face the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center. The Warriors have had a strong start to their summer with a flawless 3-0 record that cements them as the team to beat.

Led by an experienced roster that includes the likes of Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis, the Warriors cruised to easy wins against the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers before being tested by the Sacramento Kings in the California Classic.

After being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves last year, the Phoenix Suns will be seeking out some positives from their rookies and younger prospects as they tip off their campaign.

This should be an interesting matchup between two Western Conference rivals that have a lot to prove after underwhelming 2023/34 seasons. There were high expectations for both these organizations last season, but both stumbled towards the later stages to set up disappointing finishes.

The Warriors have won all three of their games entering this matchup and averaged 96 points per game along the way.

Second year guard Brandin Podziemski will be the man to keep an eye on. The Wisconsin native started 28 games for the organization last season and averaged 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists. He was rewarded for his strong season by being named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

The Phoenix Suns will be hoping their young prospects aren't too rusty after a long offseason. Rookies Ryan Dunn (No. 28 overall pick) and Oso Ighodaro (No. 40 overall pick) will be looking to impress as they make their professional debuts.

Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors Prediction

The Suns face a challenging start to their Summer League campaign against a talented and deep Warriors roster. They enter the game as heavy underdogs and with the Warriors off to a flying start, it is hard to predict anything other than a victory for Golden State.
