Reports: Rajon Rondo aims to join Kentucky Wildcats' coaching staff in 2023-24

The Kentucky Wildcats are always looking to add talent to their program as usual. That includes the possibility of adding to their coaching staff for the upcoming seasons.

One name that has come up as a potential addition to their staff is none other than former NBA point guard Rajon Rondo. After spending 16-years in the league, it looks as if Rondo is preparing himself for the next chapter of his basketball career. Rondo was one of the most gifted floor generals in the league and was known for his intelligence on the court.

Many have considered that he would be a gifted coach one day. It appears as if Rondo believes the same, as he's looking to take the first step of his coaching journey back at Lexington. The talented guard spent two years playing at Kentucky from 2004-06 before becoming a first-round pick in the 2006 NBA draft.

It now appears as if Rondo is set to return to Kentucky as a coach for the 2023-24 season.

The 2023-24 season is expected to be a big one for the Wildcats. John Calipari is getting prepared to have one of his most impressive incoming classes in recent memory.

The Kentucky Wildcats have signed three of the top four high school basketball recruits for the 2023 class. That includes Justin Edwards, D.J. Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw. The three incoming freshmen should give the Wildcats plenty of firepower, but the team also signed talented guard Robert Dillingham. He is the 11th overall prospect for the 2023 class.
