Reports: Kyrie Irving's Instagram account has been suspended
Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets has caused some controversy over the past few years and has dealt with the repercussions.
While it's uncertain of what happened, Irving has now been suspended on Instagram. He said he doesn't know why he was suspended but isn't worried about it. Instagram should have a reason for him sometime soon, and it's possible Irving will let people know what happened.
No one has pointed out anything that Kyrie Irving has posted on Instagram as a reason for suspension.
Irving seems much more focused on the NBA right now, and that's resulted in him playing elite-level basketball. The Brooklyn Nets (27-13) have played incredibly throughout the past few months, and Irving has been a major reason why.
Earlier this season, his antisemitic comments offended many, and while they can't ever be taken back, Irving, who was suspended eight games by the Nets, issued an apology for the matter.
“To all Jewish families and communities that are hurt and affected from my post, I am deeply sorry to have caused you pain, and I apologize," he wrote. "I initially reacted out of emotion to being unjustly labeled antisemitic, instead of focusing on the healing process of my Jewish brothers and sisters that were hurt from the hateful remarks made in the documentary.
"I want to clarify any confusion on where I stand fighting against antisemitism by apologizing for posting the documentary without context and a factual explanation outlining the specific beliefs in the documentary I agreed with and disagreed with. I had no intentions to disrespect any Jewish cultural history regarding the Holocaust or perpetuate any hate.
"I am learning from this unfortunate event and hope we can find understanding between us all.”
