Golden State Warriors Rumors: Warriors urged to make low-risk, high-reward trade for Cam Reddish
The Golden State Warriors are rumored to be looking for size and shooting ahead of the February 9 trade deadline. The latest rumors suggest that the Warriors should make a low-risk, high-reward trade for Cam Reddish of the New York Knicks.
Ben Stinar of Sports Illustrated urged the defending champs to acquire Reddish from the Knicks. Stinar explained that Reddish can still reach his potential in the right situation. The Warriors can maximize his skills and possibly become a great role player for them like Andre Iguodala.
Reddish stands at 6' 7" and has shown flashes of good defense during his stints with the Atlanta Hawks and in New York. It's also worth noting that Reddish worked out with Steph Curry in the 2020 offseason.
Acquiring Cam Reddish could be a low-risk, high-reward trade for the Golden State Warriors because of his trade value. Reddish has been out of the New York Knicks' rotation since early December.
Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that the Knicks were initially looking for a first-round pick for Reddish. However, the team is now open to parting ways with the former No. 8 pick for two second-round picks.
Reddish was averaging 8.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists before falling out of favor with Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau. He's in the final year of his rookie contract and could become a free agent at the end of the season.

Will Golden State Warriors trade James Wiseman?
James Wiseman has drawn the ire of some Golden State Warriors fans due to his disappointing play this season. Wiseman has struggled to get consistent minutes with the defending champions. And when he gets some playing time, he can't capitalize on his opportunities.
However, will the Warriors give up on Wiseman and trade him before the February 9 deadline? C.J. Holmes of the San Francisco Chronicle revealed on The Fast Break podcast that the Golden State front office still has faith in the former No. 2 pick.
Citing sources within the organization, Holmes noted that Wiseman might not be available.
"Based on what I am hearing, I don't envision them making any moves," Holmes said. "I don't think they are ready to give up on James Wiseman yet. They have seen the slow progress he has made, and Bob Myers' two-timeline plan is still alive and well. They are riding this thing out."
Wiseman has played just 19 games this season, averaging 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds.
He also spent a good amount of time in the NBA G League to get some experience. He last played on December 28 against the Utah Jazz. He's currently out with a sprained left ankle and there's no timetable for his return.
