Golden State Warriors Trade Rumors: Jonathan Kuminga and James Wiseman on the market could interest Detroit Pistons, Saddiq Bey in the mix
The latest Golden State Warriors trade rumors suggest that Jonathan Kuminga and James Wiseman might be available. One possible target for the defending champions is Saddiq Bey of the Detroit Pistons.
Not many expected Golden State to struggle at the start of the season. However, the Warriors' defense went from one of the best last season to one of the worst. The team's depth took a hit from free agency, and their young players might not be ready for the step up.
Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga are in and out of the Warriors' rotation, while James Wiseman was sent down to the NBA G League. All three players still have potential, but Golden State might have to make a trade if they want to repeat as champions.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons are accepting early inquiries for Saddiq Bey, as reported by Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports. It was a surprising turn of events in Detroit, as Bey was considered an untouchable player in the offseason.
The 23-year-old forward is struggling in his third season in the league. Bey is averaging 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists. He's shooting just 40.8% from the field and 29.0% from beyond the arc.
Aaron Kellerstrass of Piston Powered has said that the Golden State Warriors could shop Jonathan Kuminga and James Wiseman. Kellerstrass suggested a possible trade between the two teams, with Bey going to Golden State and the Pistons acquiring Kuminga.
The Athletic's Marcus Thompson III reported in May 2020 that the Warriors are big fans of Bey. They reckon Bey was a good fit for the team and their system, but the Pistons ended up taking Bey earlier than expected in the draft.

Other Golden State Warriors trade rumors
According to Eric Pincus of Bleache Report, several league executives reckon the Golden State Warriors could be active in the trade market. The defending champions are rumored to be looking to bolster their depth and defense.
Some of the players the Warriors might target are Myles Turner, Jakob Poeltl and Jae Crowder. Turner's contract with the Indiana Pacers is expiring at the end of the season. He's also one of the best two-way big men in the NBA today. Poeltl is also a defensive big man who has improved his offense with the San Antonio Spurs.
Meanwhile, Crowder remains inactive for the Phoenix Suns this season. The Suns are trying to trade Crowder but are waiting for the best offer. The Golden State Warriors could use someone like Crowder, who is a good defensive wing and would improve their depth.
However, the Warriors are not the only team interested in Crowder. Pincus noted that the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks have inquired about the veteran forward. Golden State has assets like draft picks and young players with potential that could interest rebuilding teams.
