NBA Trade Rumors: As per insiders, the Golden State Warriors are expected to go for Dwight Howard
NBC Sports Bay Area has reported that the Golden State Warriors are considering dipping into the free-agent market for a center, with their prime target in this regard being Dwight Howard of the LA Lakers.
The franchise's need for a center has dominated NBA trade rumors for quite a while now, with many expecting the Warriors to trade away the number two pick in the NBA Draft in a package deal.
With Dwight Howard entering free agency this off-season, this could be the ideal opportunity for the Golden State Warriors to bolster their roster for next season.
In a resurgent year with the LA Lakers, Howard has become a key role player for the franchise in their run to the 2020 NBA Finals and has also contributed well against the Miami Heat in the Finals.
An NBA trade for Dwight Howard to the Golden State Warriors could prove incredibly beneficial for the franchise. Not only would the team have a proven center who could effectively contribute at both ends, they would also have the trade assets needed to potentially bring in another NBA superstar.
If the LA Lakers decide to trade away Dwight Howard, the player could well kickstart another era of dominance for the Golden State Warriors.
