The Boston Celtics crashed out of the playoffs in disappointing fashion after finishing a very promising regular season in third place in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics lost to Miami Heat in six games, and questions over point guard Kemba Walker's influence on the team have surfaced.

Walker was part of a free agency move last offseason, which saw him leave struggling franchise Charlotte Hornets. After taking some time to adjust to Brad Stevens' offense, Kemba Walker was back to his usual excellence as he averaged 20 points in the regular season.

However, Walker was quite poor in the postseason - especially against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference finals - where he struggled against Erik Spoelstra's zone defense.

According to NBA trade rumors, there is a possibility that the Boston Celtics will be looking to trade Kemba Walker if a respectable offer comes through. It is an open secret that the Celtics desperately need a frontcourt player, and they can be strong-handed in a lopsided trade because of that reason.

The San Antonio Spurs can be a landing destination for Kemba Walker, as Gregg Popovich is on the hunt for a reliable backcourt partner for DeMar DeRozan. The Spurs will be sending LaMarcus Aldridge the other way, who will instantly improve the Celtics' starting lineup.

The Celtics already have two able scorers in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, and the presence of Aldridge in the paint on both the sides will help them mount a challenge for the championship.
