San Antonio Spurs vs Atlanta Hawks Prediction and Preview for 2024 NBA Summer League | July 14, 2024
The San Antonio Spurs will go up against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday in the NBA 2K25 Summer League. San Antonio edged the Portland Trail Blazers 83-77 in its debut and hopes to stay unbeaten in Las Vegas. No. 4 pick Stephon Castle will again lead the Spurs.
The Hawks are coming off a 94-88 loss in a highly anticipated duel between Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr, the No. 1-2 picks in this year’s draft. Risacher had an 18-point, five-rebound and two-assist night but couldn’t drag Atlanta to a victory over Sarr's Washington Wizards. He will be hoping to give the Hawks their first win in the Summer League.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Atlanta Hawks: NBA 2K25 Summer League rosters
San Antonio Spurs Summer League roster
Rookies Harrison Ingram (No. 48) and Stephon Castle (No. 4) are the names to watch for on Sunday for the Spurs. Castle lived up to his hype with a solid 22-point, five-rebound and four-assist night in his Summer League debut. Ingram had a no-frills outing, finishing the night with eight points, five rebounds and three steals in the win against the Blazers.
Spurs fans will be interested to see how Sidy Cissoko performs. He did a little bit of everything versus Portland, but the team’s supporters will be looking for him to do more.

Atlanta Hawks Summer League roster
Zaccharie Risacher will again be the name the fans inside the Thomas & Mack Center will be monitoring. He had a solid debut for Atlanta two nights ago, but some thought he was a bit overwhelming as the No. 1 pick. The Frenchman could put on a better showing against the Spurs.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Atlanta Hawks: Prediction
Where the Spurs and Hawks will go after giving their best hopefuls a chance to shine is anybody’s guess. San Antonio will give Castle, Ingram, Sissoko and likely Nathan Mensah their opportunities before looking at the other names on the roster.
Atlanta will likely do the same to Risacher, Mouhamed Gueye and probably Nikola Durisic. Fans are still waiting to see if Kobe Bufkin, who went No. 15 last year, will play. He didn’t see action in the Hawks’ debut, so he has to get minutes if he is healthy.
The game could be decided by the names on the fringes of the roster. Atlanta could emerge as the winner, but nobody will be surprised if San Antonio stays unbeaten in Las Vegas.
