Satnam Singh Bhamara to work out with the Sacramento Kings
After getting a chance to work out with the Boston Celtics, India’s Satnam Singh Bhamra will train with yet another NBA team, this time the Sacramento Kings who will be holding their second pre-draft workout on Thursday. The 7’ 2 feet tall player will be joined by Stefan Nastic of Stanford and David Kravish of California.
The Sacramento Kings would ring a bell in the ears of several India basketball fans as that was the team for which Sim Bhullar, the first Indian origin basketball player signed up for in the NBA Summer League in 2014. Bhullar though spent most of his time with the Reno Bighorns in the D-League affiliate.
The owner of the Kings, Vivek Ranadive has also said he wants to make the Kings a global brand, specifically in India. These are certainly very interesting times for not only the NBA but for also Basketball in India and one can only hope that Satnam Singh gets picked for one of the teams, when the draft takes place at the Barclays Center on June 25th.
