Shannon Sharpe reacts to LeBron James making history in Crypto.com arena: “I was in attendance is a moment I will never forget”

Basketball fans watched in disbelief as LA Lakers superstar LeBron James cemented his name in NBA history. One of those fans was analyst Shannon Sharpe, who was at the Crypto.com arena for the game.

Since 1989, LA Lakers and NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has held the league's all-time scoring record. It was an accomplishment that many have considered one of the most impressive in all sports. That record was held by one man until Tuesday night.

LeBron will now have the opportunity to separate himself from the rest of the pack. Despite his age, James has played at an elite level so far in the 2022-23 season. Appearing on "Undisputed," Sharpe spoke about how special it was to see James make history in-person.

“It was a magical moment. To know LeBron James became the all-time leader in points and I was in attendance is a moment I will never forget.”

Tuesday night's became one of the biggest accomplishments of LeBron's career, breaking a record that was often viewed as untouchable.

Now the hope is that LeBron and the LA Lakers can look ahead to another lofty accomplishment. The next biggest challenge for James will be finding a way to get his team back into the playoff hunt. Although James made personal history last night, his team ended up losing 133-130 to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The LA Lakers now find themselves at 25-30 for the 2022-23 season. If they can generate some momentum ahead of the All-Star break, it could pay off in a big way for the second half of the season. The Lakers will have four more games on their plate before the break for the All-Star weekend.

It won't be easy, as the Lakers are set to take on the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans.
