"Championship caliber, kinda pick your poison type situation" - Steph Curry is unperturbed about Warriors offense with Draymond Green and Jordan Poole on the court

The Golden State Warriors have been awful. Despite Steph Curry's strong play, the defending NBA champions are 12th in the Western Conference with a 4-7 record. The numbers don't look good, but Curry still has faith. He believes Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole are close to breaking out.

Curry was asked about the Warriors offense and what he expects to happen when Thompson and Poole heat up. The two-time MVP said:

"Championship caliber, kinda pick your poison type situation where you don't know where it's coming from. You have to worry about shooters all over the court. You gotta worry about Draymond driving down the lane, having options on both sides."

Curry added:

"I think big picture we're not really worried about the offensive side. We never really are. It's usually other stuff that gets in our way in terms of becoming the team that we want to be."

Jordan Poole is averaging just 15.2 points, a sizable drop off from the 18.5 he averaged last season. Klay Thompson's average has dropped from 20.4 to 15.1. More concerningly, Poole is shooting just 40.6% from the field and 30.1% from 3-point range. Thompson is shooting 36.0% from the field and 32.6% from 3-point range.

Steph Curry has carried the load offensively. He's averaged 32.6 points while shooting 51.2% from the field and 43.1% from beyond the arc. If the Golden State Warriors want to compete for their fifth championship, they will need Poole and Thompson to elevate their level of play.

Can Steph Curry lead the Warriors to another title?

Despite their struggles, many believe that the Golden State Warriors will turn their season around. The Warriors' offense has not been an overwhelming issue. They rank fifth in points per game and 15th in offensive rating. Steph Curry has played a huge role in their offensive production.

The Warriors defense has been among the worst in the NBA. They finished third in points allowed per game and first in defensive rating last season. They are currently rank 29th in points allowed per game and 27th in defensive rating. Furthermore, their bench unit ranks last in net rating.

The Warriors can't solely rely on Curry. If they want to win another title, they will need more from the supporting cast.
