The Durant-ulla!
Every once in a while, comes a player who single-handedly takes his team from the lowest of the lows to the highest of the highs. Kevin Durant is one such player. Every NBA fan is familiar with him and is surely impressed with what this young guy has achieved over such a small period of time.
Kevin Durant was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder( then known as the Seattle SuperSonics) and was the second overall pick in the draft. He wasted no time in creating his reputation as he was awarded the Rookie Of The Year for the year 2008.
After the shifting of the franchise to the city of Oklahoma, Kevin Durant brought the Thunders into the big picture. When the Thunder franchise brought in the fierce point gaurd Russell Westbrook in the following season, the Thunder fans believed that they were in for something special.
Even during his college years, Kevin Durant was a superstar in his own rights.

Kevin Durant went on to win the FIBA World Championship with the USA,their first title since 1994 and he was awarded with the MVP title in that tournament.
Since then, he has been selected 3 times for the NBA All-Star team and was also the MVP of the 2012 All Star Game. The list is endless and if he has achieved so much in such a short amount of time, he is surely heading towards the NBA championship and undoubtedly towards the NBA Hall-Of-Fame.
It’s still early days for him but with such an excellent team that the Thunder franchise has developed around him with the likes of Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, James Harden and Kendrick Perkins, this Thunder team is looking set for the NBA title this season.
Moreover,if the franchise and the owners avoid any insane trades, this young Thunder team is surely going to be the team to beat in the upcoming seasons. And with such a gifted player ( KD ) in their side, the Oklahoma City Thunder could just be the ‘NEXT BIG THING’ in the NBA.
