The Luka Doncic Stat that exemplifies his all-around offensive mastery of the game

Luka Doncic has been head and shoulders above everyone on the Dallas Mavericks roster, and the stats prove it. He has put together scintillating performances and recorded awe-inspiring numbers that showcase his offensive mastery.

The Slovenian has been immense for the Mavericks this season. Although their record is average (16-16), it would undoubtedly have been worse without Doncic.

In 29 games, the fifth-year guard is averaging 32.2 points (second-best in the league), 8.3 rebounds, 8.7 assists, and 1.6 steals while shooting 49.4% from the field.

Doncic's ability to finish games with triple-doubles is vivid proof of his offensive mastery. The All-Star guard controls the offense for the Mavs and makes everyone on the floor play at his pace.

LeBron James has previously heaped praise on Doncic for his ability to be a triple threat. He highlighted that they are alike, and can do it all for their teams.

So far this season, Doncic has registered six triple-doubles and 15 double-doubles. He currently sits tenth on the all-time triple-double leaderboard with 52 career triple-doubles.

Doncic set an incredible record last night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Doncic became the fastest player to reach 100 games where he led the team in points, assists, and rebounds. Nikola Jokic held the previous record, achieving it in 510 games, but Doncic reached the milestone in almost half the number (293).

The Mavericks have a history of building around one superstar player. It bore fruit in 2011 as Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks to an improbable victory over the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.

The franchise has found a superstar they can build with, but leaving all the heavy lifting to Doncic might cost them. The NBA community has called on the front office to get him more help.

Doncic led the Mavs to the playoffs in his second year but failed to get past the first round. However, they changed their streak last year, reaching the conference finals for the first time since the 2010-11 season.

Unfortunately, they fell short in the conference finals. They lost the series 4-1 to the eventual champions, the Golden State Warriors.

Fans are worried that the Mavericks will have the same issue this year if Doncic is not surrounded by the right pieces. He has the second-highest usage percentage so far this season, which could lead to a risk of getting injured or fatigued during the postseason.
