The NBA trade deadline will close next week ahead of the annual NBA All-Star Event in North Carolina. The trade window has historically closed on the Thursday after the All-Star Game, however, since 2018, the deadline has closed 10 days before the NBA's best players face off in the prestigious game.

The deadline was moved forward in order to allow traded players to sort out arrangements for themselves and their families, and the NBA is unlikely to move the deadline back anytime soon. Nevertheless, the trade deadline is still one of the most exciting times for NBA fans, and the seven days are likely to provide a number of twists and turns.

The OKC Thunder are among the teams that are likely to be active in the trade market, as the team is rumoured to be looking to add one or two reliable shooters to the team.

A number of OKC players are also being linked with a trade away from the team, however, here we will look at three members of the roster who will remain in Oklahoma City for the remainder of the season.

Hamidou Diallo was selected with the 45th pick in the 2018 draft by the Brooklyn Nets, although the youngster was quickly traded to the Thunders. Not much was expected from the 20-year-old rookie, however, Diallo has featured in 40 games, and has impressed with his dunking ability and athleticism.

Rival teams will have taken note of Diallo's performances and will want the youngster included in any trade talks. Nevertheless, Diallo has already shown much more promise than the likes of Patrick Patterson and Alex Abrines, and the Thunder will be extremely hesitant to include Diallo in any trade discussions.

Ultimately, the Thunder have done an excellent job in developing Diallo so far, and he looks to be a major part of the teams future.
