Video: Giannis Antetokounmpo hands a pair of his signature shoe ‘Zoom Freak 4’ to his team
Giannis Antetokounmpo showed up to the Bucks facility with a full cart of his newest shoe, the ‘Zoom Freak 4’.
To celebrate the release, he handed out a pair of shoes to his Bucks teammates and members of the coaching staff. It was all caught on video. The Zoom Freak 4’s are available in eight different color ways. Antetokounmpo made sure to hand out different colorways to each individual.
Everybody approached by Antetokounmpo was happy to receive the gift. A Bucks staff member asked Giannis if the shoes will make him jump higher.
Antetokounmpo jokingly replied:
“These make you jump higher, euro step”
The staff member asked another question:
“Shoot better [too]?”
Giannis replied:
“I don’t know about that one.”
Antetokounmpo has one of the most loveable personalities in the league.
Giannis Antetokounmpo puts teammate signed with Adidas in new Nikes
After giving shoes to staff members, Giannis ran onto the practice court and stole his teammates' shoes.
One of his victims was Serge Ibaka. Funny enough, Ibaka has a shoe deal with Adidas. He was reluctant to wear Giannis' Nike shoes. The context made the situation funnier.
Shortly after, Ibaka was seen removing Antetekounmpo's shoes and putting his own back on his feet. He said:
"This is business man. This is my business, man"
Obviously there is no bad blood. It was just a playful interaction between two teammates who have contractual obligations with different shoe companies. Giannis sure knows how to keep everybody on the team in high spirits.
