On Sunday night, at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, the Cleveland Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the Finals by winning Game 7 against the Golden State Warriors. They were led by home town hero James, who recorded his 7th Finals triple-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks.
This 2016 NBA title also ends the city’s championship drought, being the first ever pro sports championship won by a team from Cleveland since running back Jim Brown and the Cleveland Browns won the NFL in 1964.
Recently, the duo of James and Kohli were listed among the top 100 most famous athletes in a list released by sporting giants ESPN. While Kohli was the highest ranked Indian and Cricketer at 8th, James was second only behind Portugal and Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
