Warriors hand Lakers third loss in a row

Los Angeles, March 26 (IANS)

Even Kobe Bryant’s game-high 36 points couldn’t save the Lakers from going down for the third time in a row.

Despite Kobe Bryant scoring a game-high 36 points, the Lakers still lost to the Golden State Warriors 109-103.

They have lost three games in a row, which brought so much risk to their playoff games. Now the Lakers just lead one game ahead of the Jazz, who rank ninth in Western Conference, reports Xinhua.

The Lakers’ defence put up little resistance Monday on the Warriors through the first three quarters; they tried hard to come back and did make a late rally in the fourth quarter but fell short.

Nash contributed 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Howard got 11 points with 15 rebounds but the bench just had two points in the first half and the Lakers shot just 39.6 percent from the field in losing effort.

The Golden State shot 47.8 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from the three point line. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 25 points, David Lee had 23 and Klay Thompson donated 22, while Jarrett Jack added 19 points.
