“Was blown away by his skill level”: John Calipari “excited” to coach 4-star Springdale recruit
Arkansas coach John Calipari expressed his optimism after adding another player to the 2025 recruiting class.
Isaiah Sealy, the top-ranked player in Arkansas, has officially committed and signed with the Razorbacks, according to a university release on Nov. 16.
The Springdale native is currently a four-star recruit and ranked No. 70 overall in the 2025 recruiting class, per the latest 247Sports ratings. He is also the No. 25 ranked forward and the No. 1 player in the state for this recruiting cycle.
In a post on X/Twitter, Calipari shared his excitement about Sealy joining the Razorbacks next year.
"I am really excited to have an opportunity to coach Isaiah Sealy. I saw him compete at a really high level in EYBL in Augusta. Was blown away by his skill level. I see him as a big-time player! Excited for our fans to see @isaiah_sealy in Bud Walton Arena!" - @CoachCalArk
Standing 6-foot-7, Sealy is a versatile player known for using his athleticism to attack the basket. Last year, he played as the Bulldogs' point guard, averaging 28.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.3 steals as a junior. He earned a spot on the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All-Arkansas Preps second team and received 2024 6A first-team All-State and 6A-West All-Conference honors.
During the first leg of the 2024 Nike EYBL summer circuit in Memphis, Sealy played for Pro Skills Elite, averaging 16.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg and 1.3 apg in just 18 minutes per game across three matchups.
Arkansas makes strong start with 2025 recruiting class
Before Sealy’s commitment, Arkansas’ 2025 recruiting class was ranked No. 17 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC. Sealy now joins five-star guards Darius Acuff and Meleek Thomas as early signees for the Razorbacks.
According to 247Sports, Calipari’s inaugural recruiting class ranked No. 3 nationally, trailing only Duke and Alabama. With Sealy’s addition, Arkansas now holds the fourth spot in the 2025 class rankings, behind Duke, UConn and Kansas.
Although the 2025 season is still a long way off, the Razorbacks remain active in pursuit of additional recruits. Five-star prospects Caleb Wilson and Chris Cenac are still on Arkansas’ radar, along with Nate Ament and Shon Abaev.
