Watch: Luka Doncic and Jason Kidd get ejected in Mavericks vs Timberwolves game

Luka Doncic and Jason Kidd were both ejected from the Dallas Mavericks' game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night. It was a rough night for Doncic, who was frustrated by the lack of calls going his way.

With two minutes left in the third quarter, Doncic and Kidd were tossed from the game for arguing a non-call. The Mavericks superstar thought he was fouled on a previous play against Jaden McDaniels. He tried to take a shot, but was bumped by McDaniels, causing him to fall down.

While going back on defense, Doncic was yapping at referee Rodney Mott. The official heard something he didn't like and gave the Slovenian two technical fouls, which was an automatic ejection.

Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd had no other choice but to confront the officials. For his troubles, Kidd was also called for two technical fouls and was ejected.

According to The Smoking Cuban, it was not the first time that Rodney Mott ejected Luka Doncic from a game. Mott tossed Doncic, as well as then-Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle, in a May 2021 game.

Doncic has a total of four career ejections, half of which were courtesy of Mott. Monday's ejection also ended Doncic's streak of scoring 20 or more points at 36, which was a franchise record. He finished with 19 points, six rebounds and seven assists.

The Dallas Mavericks were down big against the Minnesota Timberwolves when Luka Doncic and Jason Kidd were ejected from the game. Without their best player and head coach, the Mavericks put up a valiant effort in the fourth quarter and outscored the Timberwolves by 10 points.

However, that wasn't enough as Minnesota earned a 116-106 win. Anthony Edwards had 27 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists in a game without Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert.

Naz Reid had 27 points and 13 rebounds, while Jaylen Nowell scored 18 points off the bench. The Timberwolves have now won three consecutive games to climb up to eighth in the Western Conference standings.

On the other hand, Spencer Dinwiddie finished with 20 points, two rebounds and seven assists. Christian Wood had 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Davis Bertans and Kemba Walker scored 18 and 14 points, respectively, off the bench.

The Mavericks have now lost two in a row and five of their last 10 games. It has been a struggle for consistency this season in Dallas. They are one game below .500 with a record of 15-16, which is tied for 10th place in the West.
