“'What the f**k you did that for'…He was barbecuing P.J. Tucker?” – NBA champion shares a hilarious incident depicting LeBron James torching Suns as they bantered him
LeBron James is often at the center of some of the best NBA stories ever. Whether he messed with his opponents or if his opponents talked trash to him just for him to score 40 on them, the icon is regularly the centerpiece of amazing tales.
With all of the trash-talking in the NBA, LeBron makes sure he gets guys back after they say things to him. Whether it is something minor or not, LeBron is going to make someone pay for what they say.
Channing Frye spoke about a hilarious interaction that he had with LeBron James during his career:
"I remember we were in Phoenix, and he was in ... Bron was in Miami ... and he had a semiquiet game, and somebody on our bench, I forgot who it was, he's not in the league anymore, yells at Bron, 'Oh, we living.' And the whole bench goes 'Shut the f*** up, shut the f*** up.'
"And Bron goes, 'OK. I see you.' And our assistant coach, Longo (Phoenix Suns defensive coordinator Mike Longabardi), goes, 'What the f*** did you do that for? Shut your God damn mouth.' Man, Bron proceeded, 'Hey, look, you heard this.' Click, click, click, click, click, turn them burners on. He was barbecuing P.J. Tucker."
Players have trash-talked LeBron James plenty of times
This isn't the only incident that we've heard about LeBron James. Many players have tried trash-talking him, and it typically didn't end too well for them.
James is also someone who likes to talk his trash at times, too. Just a season ago, he told Phoenix Suns guard Cam Payne that he needed to stay humble:
“You talking sh-t now. You need to stay humble now! You was at home a year and a half ago, and now you wanna pop off.”
LeBron James also let Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane know that he wasn't messing around with that trash talk:
"This y'all's last time, dawg. This y'all's last f***ing time. This y'all's last time disrespecting. I'm not chillin'. You ain't hooping. You're talking s**t. This the last motherf***ing time Imma say it. You start making a couple shots, then you start talking s**t. F*** that. I don't play that shit."
Players around the league should have figured out by now that James isn't going to let them talk any trash and get away with it. There's a reason why he's one of the best to ever do it. Talking smack to James is only going to add more fuel to the fire.
If a player decides to trash talk to James, they better play the best game of their entire career. He will do everything in his power to make sure that the player will regret his words.
