Kevin Durant officially made his return from an MCL sprain on Wednesday night against the Charlotte Hornets. In his debut game with the Phoenix Suns, Durant proved that he hadn't lost a step despite sitting out for several weeks.
In the Phoenix Suns' 105-91 win over the Charlotte Hornets, Durant recorded 23 points, six rebounds and two assists over the course of 27 minutes. He also recorded two blocks. While Durant could have continued to play on, he is currently on a minute restriction while he eases back into the fold.

An in depth look at Kevin Durant’s efficiency on his return
While it was never in doubt that Durant would be able to return to playing at a high level, his form on his Suns debut did come as somewhat of a surprise. Durant went 10-15 from the field while shooting 50% from beyond the arc, making two of his four 3-pointers.
In addition, Durant, an 88.6% free throw shooter, knocked down his only attempt from the line. When the final buzzer sounded, Durant had a +13 efficiency rating.
After the game, Suns head coach Monty Williams spoke about what Durant’s play means to the team, praising him for his ability while remaining focused for the rest of the season.
"Can't say I'm not excited, but like I've said, the schedule doesn't allow you to dwell on that stuff."
The Phoenix Suns will look to make a strong run through the remainder of the regular season. As they set their sights on another run at the NBA Finals, Durant easing back into the lineup will give the team a much-needed boost.
Suns superstar Devin Booker also rose to the occasion on the evening, scoring 37 points over the course of 33 minutes. He also contributed six rebounds and seven assists, while recording two blocks.
With the Suns currently in fourth place in the Western Conference, it will be interesting to see whether or not the team is able to make a deep postseason run.
