What are Naz Reid's contract details with Minnesota Timberwolves? Salary, duration, and more
LA Lakers star forward LeBron James praised Minnesota Timberwolves big man Naz Reid on Twitter on Tuesday. This came as Reid and the Wolves faced off against the LA Clippers. Reid finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal on 66.7% shooting as the Wolves won 108-101.
“Naz Reid got toooo much game!!” James tweeted.
Reid is currently making just $1.9 million this season, tied for the 11th-highest salary on the Wolves. Nonetheless, he is still one of Minnesota’s most reliable players and often steps up when the team is shorthanded.
Following this season, Naz Reid is set to become an unrestricted free agent. So perhaps James is laying the groundwork for the Lakers to potentially target him in free agency.
Reid is averaging 10.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.9 blocks per game on 53.1% shooting through 56 games.
Naz Reid’s NBA career so far
Reid went undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft. However, he signed a multi-year contract with the Timberwolves shortly after, on July 17, 2019.
Through 233 games over four seasons with Minnesota, Reid has averaged 9.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.0 apg, and 0.9 bpg on 50.1% shooting.
