What did the young LeBron James fan say about her interaction with the LA Lakers superstar?
LeBron James is the NBA's greatest scorer. He recently surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the league's all-time scoring list and boosted his case for the greatest player of all time.
However, the LA Lakers superstar was sidelined with an injury on Saturday night. Despite not being on the floor, James made one of his youngest fans very happy. During the game, the Lakers forward sat next to Gaia, a 12-year-old fan.
Gaia was very excited to be in the presence of The King as she talked about her incredible experience.
Gaia is one of the youngest fans of LeBron James and she praised the LA Lakers forward
LeBron became the NBA's all-time leading scorer with 38 points against the OKC Thunder earlier this week. However, many fans thought that he'd achieve this impressive feat against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.
Unsurprisingly, James has caught fire and had several high-scoring games in the last two months, which is why he broke the record sooner than expected. Gaia is one of James' fans who bought tickets to the Warriors game, expecting LeBron to break the record during it.
The young fan talked about the four-time NBA champion as he sat right next to her.
"I look up and I see LeBron James," the young fan said. "What's going through my mind is like, 'Oh my god, the greatest player of all time in basketball is sitting next to me.' I just freaked out completely. ... This is the best moment of my life."

Gaia attended the Lakers-Warriors game with her brother Liam and had the best seats in the house. The two sat next to the Lakers' bench, which is how they got the opportunity to meet one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
Unfortunately, the young fan wasn't allowed to talk to James during the game. However, this did not ruin her experience as she was very grateful to be in the presence of the legendary player.
Lakers beat the Warriors without LeBron James
While Gaia felt incredible sitting next to her favorite basketball player, LeBron James also enjoyed the night. The Lakers beat the Warriors 109-103, which was huge.
Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt and D'Angelo Russell, who were acquired before the trade deadline, all played in the game. They combined for 31 points, with Russell leading the way with 15 points.
