When is Andrew Wiggins returning? Sources reveal comeback date after long absence

Andrew Wiggins is expected to return to action very soon. The Golden State Warriors forward has missed more than 20 games due to personal reasons, but is planning to return on Tuesday night against the OKC Thunder, according to Shams Charania.

The game is a must-win for Golden State, who are currently sixth in the Western Conference. The 6-foot-7 forward is one of the most valuable players on the Dubs. Considering that the team hasn't secured a playoff spot yet, Wiggins' presence should help.

Wiggins last played against the Washington Wizards on Feb. 13. The former Rookie of the Year had one of his best games of the season, scoring 29 points and grabbing seven rebounds in a nine-point victory.

However, the Golden State Warriors haven't been able to count on his services since then. Mitchell Wiggins, Andrew Wiggins' father, has been dealing with a serious medical condition, due to which the Warriors forward has been away from the team.

Wiggins is averaging 17.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game this season. He's also converted 39.6% of his long-range shots.

Andrew Wiggins' return will be huge for the Warriors (41-38), who are only half a game ahead of the LA Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans.

If the Warriors lose to the Thunder, they risk falling into the play-in positions. Fortunately for them, the game is at home, where they are 32-8.

The OKC Thunder (38-41) desperately need a victory as well. The Thunder are 10th in the conference, but only a game ahead of the Dallas Mavericks.

Tuesday night's game will be the fourth and final matchup between the Warriors and the Thunder. The Dubs lead the series 2-1.
