Shaquille O’Neal has tried many different things in his life, including Tinder. The four-time NBA champion tried to use the popular dating app, but it did not go as well as he had hoped.
Surprisingly, not even the 7-foot-1 millionaire has had a lot of luck on Tinder. During his appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in 2021, the basketball star revealed that he was turned down by a girl on the dating app.
Apparently, the girl he was trying to meet did not believe it was him. He said she claimed that Shaq would never be on the app.

If the 7-foot-1 former basketball player, who is currently a successful businessman, cannot get lucky on Tinder, what chances does anyone else have? Apparently, O'Neal wasn't turned down for his looks.
The girl that caught Shaq's attention simply did not believe that it was him. In his conversation with Jimmy Kimmel, the basketball legend revealed some interesting details regarding his Tinder experience.
At the 6:02 mark in the video above, O’Neal talked about his unusual experience on Tinder. When asked if he was dating or using the popular app, the basketball legend said:
“I signed up for Tinder, put in my name and I tried to make a person meet me. And they didn’t believe it was me. I was like, ‘It’s me. It’s Shaq.’ And she said, ‘Shaq would never be on this.’ So, I had to hit delete. I had to delete my account.”
The former basketball player said that the girl was "hot" and that he wanted to meet her at Starbucks for just five minutes.

O'Neal's $1 million bet
During his appearance on the popular talk show, Shaquille O’Neal also revealed the biggest bet that he's ever made. It turns out that the basketball legend made a bet worth $1 million at some point.

Considering that his net worth is estimated at $400 million in 2022, this doesn't sound too bad.
The Hall of Famer said that he bet the money on an MMA match. He ended up winning the bet, but he did not reveal how much money he made from it.
Thanks to his successful basketball career and numerous business ventures, Shaq is currently among the wealthiest former athletes in the world. While betting a million dollars may not have been the smartest decision, he certainly was able to afford losing the bet.
