Which movie did Anthony Edwards star in? Taking a closer look at Minnesota Timberwolves star's off court work
Anthony Edwards is much more than just a basketball player. The Minnesota Timberwolves guard recently starred in a popular movie and has done a fantastic job.
Edwards teamed up with Adam Sandler to appear in "Hustle," a 2022 movie. The movie features many other prominent NBA players, such as Tobias Harris, Trae Young and Luka Doncic.
The 6-foot-4 guard played the role of an antagonist and was brilliant in it. Besides his impressive basketball skills, Edwards showed the world that he can act as well, gaining even more fans and popularity.
Anthony Edwards starred in a basketball movie
Edwards loves basketball and is very good at it. Due to this, it's no surprise that he played a basketball player in the only movie he's ever starred in. The Minnesota Timberwolves guard plays Kermit Wilts in "Hustle," another prominent player.
Wilts is the primary antagonist of the movie. He is well known for his trash-talking skills, but he also backs them up with his incredible performances on the floor. He is a rival to Bo Cruz, another young talented player.
Anthony Edwards was the perfect choice for the role of Wilts. While the Timberwolves star is likable, his role in the movie is far from that. However, he's done a marvelous job and was praised for his performance.

Bo Cruz, the movie protagonist, was played by Juancho Hernangomez, who was also great. Both NBA players made their acting debuts in "Hustle."
"Hustle" is the only movie Anthony Edwards has starred in so far. However, considering how great he was in it, we expect to see him in a few more movies in the future.
The 6-foot-4 guard is one of the brightest NBA stars. He is only 21, yet he's already established himself as a lethal scorer. Edwards is set to receive more than $20 million in the next two years, so acting will definitely not be his top priority.
Many other NBA stars appeared in the movie
Besides Anthony Edwards, many other prominent players appeared in the movie. Some players, such as Jimmy Butler and Al Horford, did not get a lot of screen time.
Mo Wagner, on the other hand, was one of the players who received the most screen time in the early part of the movie. Adam Sandler, who played the role of a Philadelphia 76ers scout in "Hustle," also scouted Boban Marjanovic.
